Mehr was previously released in the Mickey Contractor collection in 2011 as a limited edition lipstick, and was repromoted with the Middle Eastern collection in 2012, and is now a permanent shade, along with the other three lipsticks in the Middle Eastern collection. However, I haven’t been able to find any of the lipsticks from the above collection in Singapore, and was only able to find Mehr in the US.
Mehr is a matte medium pink with very slight blue undertones. On my pigmented lips, there are some subtle brown undertones that come through. I wore Mehr on my lips for six hours before I reapplied it. Because of the matte finish, it clings to the lips pretty well.
What I appreciate about Mehr is its matte finish. On the lips, it looks professional and polished, which makes it great for work and school. Though it’s a matte, the formula isn’t drying (unlike MAC’s retro mattes like Ruby Woo, this is more like Russian Red’s formula), but it’s not hydrating either.
Here, I paired Mehr with a pink blush, and lots and lots of mascara for a clean fresh faced look. Click here for more info on the look.
Cost: USD 15
Does it work: It’s a matte blue-based pink that is neither drying nor hydrating on my lips. This lasted six hours on me, before I needed to reapply it.
Would I recommend it: Yes, most definitely. This is an everyday kind of a shade, and could be a MLBB shade for some people with pinker skin tones. However, it’s really hard to find this shade outside of the US. Do let me know if you managed to get hold of it anywhere else!
